Yoga evolved in ancient India over 4000 years ago. The word "yoga" comes from Sanskrit and means to join or integrate, or simply the Union. The meaning of yoga is the union of body and mind with the truth. Yoga includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life. The benefits of yoga breathing (pranayama), yoga postures or poses (Asanas) and meditation (Dhyana) are really and truly enormous.

Only in the last Yoga decade that has spread among the masses, thanks to yoga gurus like Baba Ramdev and literally tens of millions of people in India and elsewhere to come into its bosom and take it in a very real sense. You just talk to people who practice yoga and they will soon boast of a long list of his performances and sing his praises. For many, yoga becomes a way of life - often to one side more spiritual in their lives.
The modern world scenario, with its stressful life, and fierce competition provides fertile ground for the growth and spread yoga.
