What could be a problem with my neck?
I am 19 years old and women, and last weekend I woke up with pain in my right shoulder and my neck, then the next day, the pain of the shoulder was gone, but I always had this pain in the neck that was mainly poorly on the sides and bottom. And it is not happened since, but with a shower for some time though. I would not say it's really steep, a bit is especially very sore and painful. I do the pain in the middle of the back of my neck that goes into my head as well as pain in the neck side down in my area of the upper shoulder and even down into my back in terms of my posture. Have I done something to the muscles or something? But if I had to sleep on it funny should not last this long does it take? arn't my swollen glands or anything, but I suffer from allergies that reek. Also when I move my neck, it clicks. Any ideas? X
Hi ~ ~! I'm sorry about your neck pain. Since you woke up with pain, I think it is prudent to assume that you probably slept on it wrong (It's amazing what we can do in our sleep). Your best bet for relief at this stage would be alternating ice and heat at intervals of 15 minutes. The ice will help reduce inflammation that may occur and the heat will help relax the muscles in the area and prevent spasms (at night, it is preferable to use a bottle of water hot - you do not want to sleep with a heating pad). Also, very gently move your neck from side to side, this will get your muscles moving and stop any movement in a blockage of the Place sweet is very beneficial. In addition, ibuprofen is very beneficial as an anti-inflammatory (If you can tolerate), liquid gels are the best to go at the speed of pain. In addition, if a friend or family member can offer you a massage sweetness - which is very useful in loosening the muscle spasms. I hope this helps and you get relief soon. =)
