Bipedalism? Why does this happen to us?
Bipedalism, or walking upright on two legs, is a way for rare animals on Earth to move. 4,000 mammals living today about, only humans are adherents of the two-legged walking. Of all the proposed reasons why we started walking on two legs, which do you favor and why? Was it more energy efficient? If walking more attractive partners? evolution by natural selection is all about compromise. A line is improved, but another feature is connected compromised as a result. What have been some trade-offs that have accompanied the evolution of bipedal posture? (In other words, why does the lower back so badly?) Can you think of other developments compromise?
There are lots of ideas why bipedalism evolved in our ancestors. Bipedalism could not come because of the freedom of hands to carry or use the tool, because it refers to the ongoing value to explain the origins of bipedalism. Also, we assume that the use of tools, brain size and bipedalism to be correlated, but they are not, use the tool and increased brain size appear not long after bipedalism. Its been suggested that bipedalism was selected for sexual females were attracted by the large, visible genitals. On the one hand, men are human penis size average body which is much larger than the average primate. But why should women be bipedal why? Men need women, regardless of whether the genitals showing there, and besides, a vertical female doesn, t really show more then being on all fours. bipedalism may have evolved avoid predators by being able to locate, including the ability to see above the tall grass while walking. But you should also do more visible to predators, at the same time. bipedalism has been demonstrated that energy effient more to travel long distances through Savannah to go to different patches of forest, and we know that bipedalism evolving at a time when the forest becomes fragmented by the open savanna. monkeys remained forest dwellers, but it seems that our ancestors adapted to the new niche without hindrance. Bipedalism also reduces the exposure the sun, keeping the heat sink. This has allowed our ancestors to be active at midday when it was too hot for the two predators and competitors to be in the process, giving us a great advantage. In my opinion, is the most probable theory to date. The compromise of bipedalism, is that our spines have taken a form ineffiect of the S-shape, which leads to lower back pain fast easily. It also means having knee problems our weight since it focuses only on two branches. Bipedalism requires more energy devoted to the balance. It is also good not to be so tense, if you live in a cold climate, you can not retain heat very well. And as I mentioned earlier, may be larger mean both to be more easily spotted by predators and prey.
