Correct Posture For Computer Work



Are there any tips for preventing carpal tunnel?

I am a young designer who is in front of a computer for most of the day my work. I wondered what I could do to prevent pain imparing my ability to work in the future. (I need my hands, wrists, arms and in my career!) Lol Any suggestions on correct posture or spreads would be wonderful. Thank you. :)

Because Carpal tunnel syndrome is usually caused by multiple factors, including health conditions and activities, the most important step prevention is to take good care of your general health. This includes maintaining a healthy weight, not smoking and exercising regularly. Other measures to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome following: Keep your arm, hand and finger muscles strong and flexible. Stop any activity that you think may be causing finger, hand, wrist or numbness or pain. Use hand movements and wrist that spread the pressure and motion evenly throughout your hand and wrist. Switch hands and change positions often when you make repeated movements. Take breaks and Rest your hands. Do exercises to flex and stretch your hands and wrists before work. Use correct posture. Limit your salt intake if you tend to retain fluid. Wear a wrist splint to keep your wrist neutral position and reduce stress on your fingers, hand or wrist at times when you can not control your wrist movements, such as during sleep.

Standing Postures In Yoga

I'm 20 and I am only moderately flexible. For example, if I had to stand up, then fold my upper body, I can only go about 90 degrees with my back and legs straight. I can go more if I bend my knees. I want to know if possible At my age, to become flexible enough to do perfect runs like this: http://www.yogacards.com/yoga-postures-2/uttanasana.html with yoga and exercise stretching enough and approximately how long it would take to be able to accomplish this with enough practice? I have access to p90x stretching and yoga videos and I thought to do that. Were you once in my position, and now you can make runs perfect? How long did it take for you to reach this point? I know every body is different and the length of time can vary from person to person, but I just want an estimate of how long it would take. Please share any personal stories if possible. Thank you in advance!

I'm in a yoga class and there are people very old people who can do these poses. I can not answer your question. The whole point of yoga is not to arrive at the end. It is to assess travel. Just celebrate as you are able to move closer to where you want to be.

I just had a baby 3 weeks ago and I really want to help with my posture. I saw an infomercial on TV late at night around a special holder that fits like a bra that is supposed to help posture, but I've never written down and now I can not find it. Forward Head Posture Headaches

Poor posture with headaches?

Well Ive started getting these weird headace in the back of my head kind of feels like it related to my shoulder or neck Maby. But the headache in the back and sometimes at the top of my head comes with a bit of stomach ache and rooms and the lighting looks different as the fog is in the room or something like that. Ive recently read that each inch in front of your head shoulder 10ib is another pressure on your neck. Im a fan of WoW and I lose all my free time on it but recently I found myself always leaning forward puts great stress test on my neck and ive played for 2 years Maby. I was wondering if this could be the cause or not a bit worried with the changes in vision, but I think its the brightness of my screen eyestrain or if thats possible. Thank you guys
