The Alexander Technique, Fibromyalgia, CFS Earning end: the tension, release, and the four concepts of good use, Part 2
The company made remarkable medical and scientific progress over the last hundred years, but there are still many serious diseases that continue to thwart doctors and scientists.
In fact, many "diseases of modern society" are reaching epidemic proportions.
These include back pain, neck pain and shoulder, arthritis and spinal diseases, asthma and autoimmune diseases, depression, neuroses and insomnia.
At the very summit of "diseases of modern society", 6 million are diagnosed with fibromyalgia and Chronic fatigue syndrome in the United States alone.
The answer to many if not all of these illnesses will never be found in a laboratory.

The answer course is in the very way we live, so I use the Alexander Technique as a strategy to boost my techniques base as a key element of my recovery plan and fibromyalgia CFS.
Alexander Technique can restore the free choice of people's lives, without tension and concerns that we impose on ourselves a great extent.
Alexander describes his vision of the process of decline:
"We live in the so-called more advanced, civilized society, democratic and technological world still lack of "real" happiness manifested by most adults is because they know use constantly degrading and failures of their "psycho physical" themselves.
This deterioration is a manifestation of our personality traits, flaws and temperaments.
These characteristics of uncoordinated struggling through life burden maladjustments, combine to create conditions of irritation and pressure that are self-sustaining. "

To put things in simple terms, that our psychological state deteriorates our physical condition begins to mirror and if the stage is set for an episode of fibromyalgia and CFS, or any other chronic condition.

If you need proof of this phenomenon, consider the movement of a person which is in the throes of first love and compare to a person on their way to work on Monday morning to do a job they dislike.
As we grow in childhood to adulthood, our natural state is pleased replaced by fear, fear of failure, rejection, and fears Financial. At first, the fear is only psychological, but it percolates into our makeup very muscular and skeletal systems.
Controlled by the autonomic nervous system (ANS), is our fear reflex, often called "fight or flight".
There is obviously no coincidence that the ANS is a key system, called into question by recent developments in the science of fibromyalgia and CFS, and the focus of much of my treatment.
The ANS has already been under stress so that when you were subject to your particular trigger infection, "the system collapsed and you've become one of the unfortunates who continue to develop fibromyalgia and CFS.
In people who are victims fibromyalgia and CFS, the fear reflex is often so strong that their blood is normal, especially in the neck and shoulders, and begins to stretch and get the body in a posture that slowly becomes distorted fixed.
If you need proof of the power of fear reflex to do this exercise, next time you go to work, take the busiest most congested, unpleasant road note how you feel get in the car at home, notice how you feel when you hit congestion and notice how you feel in your head, neck and shoulders when you finally get out of the car at the other end.
Another day, take a quiet country road to work and see how you feel when you get there, compare and contrast.
In my article on CFS, fibromyalgia and the spiral of stress, I wrote about the special characteristics of people with fibromyalgia and CFS how they were often ambitious, go getter, highly stressed people with little time to pass the examination of their psychological, emotional.
Fascinating, 60 years ago, Alexander expressed his belief that, like most human beings of our modern diseases and syndromes have occurred because, as a race of people we move target then all that matters is the result never, never how we will.

Alexander's legacy was to give us the opportunity use reason, common sense and the choice given to us as children.
Unfortunately, because of social pressure to conform we used to decline the option on the first possible opportunity, by imitating the behavior and examples of others instead of doing what we know and feel is good.
As children, we are obliged to comply, we are taught to be afraid to be different.
We learn afraid to be unique and individual, at a time when we should promote these qualities.
Following the Alexander Technique we can reprogram our conscience and to choose the way in which we live our lives.
• We can choose to show stress in different ways.
• We can choose to follow the herd in the way we sit, work, eat and drive or not.
• We can choose the amount voltage allow us in our head, neck, shoulders and back that contribute and exacerbate our symptoms of fibromyalgia and CFS.
• We can choose to inhibit spontaneous reactions and learn to let go.
At the heart of technical Alexander "are the four concepts of good use:
The end result of a lesson Alexander is a easy to use effective body, but the procedure that the student must go through a mental and character of these articles can help you prepare for this trip.
We've all been told some point stand, we instinctively pull the shoulders back and try to force our spine in a rigid column, but then we noticed how This leads to muscle tension very uncomfortable after only a few minutes.
Alexander also noted that his agency work and he spent four years developing the basic concepts that are at the heart of the Alexander Technique.
The first two are for the neck head and torso and both aim at the legs and shoulders.
By applying these concepts, you will feel your neck muscles and shoulder less tense and back longer and longer and your hip joints more and more free.
The four concepts go like this:
1. Let your neck to release so that your head can balance forward and up.
2. Allow your torso to length and width.
3. Let your legs to release away from your pelvis.
4. Allow your shoulders to release the sides.

"Exit" is essential especially for people with fibromyalgia to help break the cycle of tension that can bring and maintain a "trigger point of attack.

By "release" we mean asking your muscles than working as hard as they need to accomplish the task you set for them.
Releasing muscle practice:
Many people first find consciously release muscles a bit more difficult than it looks.
In Parts 3 and 4 of this series, we look closely with examples of exactly how "liberation" and also to define with more precision.
I will describe how to practice and experience 4 concepts with real life examples. I will also speak of "inhibition", which can be regarded as Alexander the fifth and most important concept, crucial the technique.
