I need some advice. PLEASE answer is something I really need help. im 16?
I went to a plastic surgeon back in November last year because I wanted a breast reduction, the surgeon had said I was a good candidate for the procedure, I was 15 at the time and I thought my chances of doing so have been quite high, but our insurance refused because I was too young. I can understand, I may still be under development and others. but it Im having already done when really bad back / shoulder / neck pain? I have horrible posture, stretch marks on my breasts and my shoulders Divet in my arms ... do I seriously have to go through all that until they think im fully grown? and then the risk of having problems back all my life? they become unbearable. Is it possible that I can do that? my chest is 23 "and around my bust im around 34"''im 5'3 and 105 pounds. I do not even know what my size is, but i cannot with much pain! What should I do?
Im sorry for your troubles. I a procedure done when I was 17. Initially, I started the process when I was 16, but insurance says no, it is I was 18 years at least. My doctor had to prove beyond the use it was medically necessary. So my doc might be scared some because he knew that I really needed and that the insurance companys suck. Try talking to your doctor again and explaining how it is really bad and that is exactly why the practice of insurance you leave. Not only age, get the nitty gritty. Then your doctor will be able to resubmit with more information that could get your insurance company to the bandwagon. luck.
