The bony bump at the back of your neck is probably a process of "thorny" one of the 26 bones of the spine spine. The seventh cervical vertebra (on the nape of your neck) is most pronounced in about 80% of the population. posture the head forward or bending will definitely make this hump more pronounced. You will not be able to "fix" the bones, but what you can do is focus on muscles in the neck to eliminate or reduce your head forward posture. Your head forward posture could be a number of things so I can give suggestions for exercise, but until you are evaluated by a chiropractor familiar with the functional testing, it could aggravate the problem. One thing you can do is concentrate on extending the head back slightly and extend your arms back while they are at your side. Hold for 3-5 seconds and relax a little at a "normal" posture. Repeat 3 times daily for 10 hours. They are called 'exercises Bruegger "or" Bruegger's posture "Other than what you could hyperactivity of certain muscles, or inhibition of certain muscles, or both that could be causing your head to the front and make your spine more important in this area. Good luck, and you control, you can never know how you feel when your body is made to neurological function and biomechanical grace to chiropractic.
